City Probably Moving Forward On Fairfield Gateway Promise?

City Probably Moving Forward On Fairfield Gateway Promise

Fairfield City Council is hopefully back to fixing Fairfield per its Fairfield Gateway Promise. For starters, just one block of West Texas Street from McDonald’s (Beck Avenue) to the roadway below I-80.

The Fairfield Gateway Promise involves redeveloping the rest of West Texas Street, from Beck to Pennsylvania to also be redeveloped.

Discussions on yet again adding another West Texas Street traffic light slows down hurt traffic getting to our downtown Fairfield.  Fairfield Planning must reduce barriers from I-80 to downtown and our Solano County capital building.

Fairfield is showing Solano County that the county didn’t spend $101 million for their new government building in vain.  Construction was part of the Fairfield Gateway Promise project to bring more people to central Fairfield via Fairfield’s main gateway, and other streets.
